BEFORE HONOURABLE MRS. JUSTICE SUSMITA PHUKAN KHAUND ORDER 13.09.2025
1. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Assistant Manager is present for the Insurer, New India Assurance Company Ltd.
2. The claimants Ashutosh Das and Bhanumati Das are present.
3. Both the parties have settled their dispute amicably. The Insurance Company has agreed to pay a total amount of Rs. 32,67,780/-. Out of this total amount, an amount of Rs. 14,67,780/- has already been deposited by the Insurance Company.
4. Now, the Insurance Company is directed to deposit the balance amount of Rs. 18,00,000/- inclusive of interest before the Registry of this Court within 4 (four) weeks from the date of this order.
5. The Claimant, Bhanumati Das may withdraw the amount from the Registry of this Court after proper verification by the Registry.

6. The Insurance Company is allowed to withdraw the statutory deposit, (Interest is subject to TDS).
6. In terms of the above observation, this application stands disposed of.
