[1] Heard Mr. N. Jotendro, learned senior counsel assisted by Syed Murtaza Ahmed, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for the respondents. [2] In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of at this stage itself without waiting for the counter affidavit filed by the respondents. [3] At the outset, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by issuing a simple direction to the Joint Secretary (DP), Government of Manipur to consider the representation dated 26.12.2023 submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable law and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. [4] Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by the petitioner, he has no objection in disposing of the present petition as prayed for by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner. [5] Taking into consideration, the submission advanced by the
learned counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to dispose of the present writ petition by issuing the following directions:- (1) The Joint Secretary (DP), Government of Manipur is hereby
directed to consider the representation dated 26.12.2023 submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable law and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order. (2) It is made clear that whole of the process should be completed within a period of 3 (three) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. [6] With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is
disposed of.
