According to the petitioner, he has filed a revision before the State Government under Section 11(2) of Excise Act. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the State Government to take decision on the pending revision. 5. Perusal of the record reveals that District Magistrate had passed an order on petitioner’s complaint, which was set aside by the Excise Commissioner in an appeal filed by respondent nos. 5 & 6. Petitioner has challenged the order passed by Excise Commissioner before the State Government in a revision. 6. Learned State Counsel submits that inquiry is necessary regarding the documents submitted by respondent nos. 5 & 6, while granting licence to them, therefore, that may take some time. He 2025:UHC:9094 submits that final decision can be taken in the revision filed by the petitioner only upon conclusion of the fact finding inquiry. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the Revisional Authority to consider and decide the revision petition, as per law, within ten weeks from date of production of certified copy of this order. It goes without saying that respondent nos. 5 & 6 shall also be given reasonable opportunity of hearing.
