Petitioner was serving as Tax & Revenue Inspector in Nagar Palika Parishad, Bageshwar. He was given officiating charge of the post of Executive Officer in the said Nagar Palika Parishad, vide order dated 17.09.2025. 3. Vide orders dated 09.10.2025, petitioner was transferred from Bageshwar to Haldwani and in his place one Mr. Dheeraj Kandpal, serving as Tax & Revenue Inspector in Nagar Nigam, Almora was transferred to Bageshwar. Petitioner challenged these two orders passed on 09.10.2025 in this writ petition. 4. This Court granted interim order in favour of the petitioner on 13.10.2025. 5. Learned State Counsel produced in Court an order dated 14.10.2025, issued by Additional Secretary, Urban Development, which is taken on record. 6. Perusal of the said order reveals that impugned orders passed on 09.10.2025, 2025:UHC:9208 Annexure Nos. 8 and 9 to the writ petition have been cancelled and petitioner will continue at Bageshwar, as before. 7. Since the orders impugned in the writ petition have been cancelled by the State Government, therefore, no useful purpose would be served by keeping this writ petition pending. 8. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by providing that the senior most employee at Nagar Palika Parishad, Bageshwar, shall hold the charge as Executive Officer, till regular arrangement is made.
