At the outset, learned counsel for the respondents apprised this Court that, during pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner has expired in the year 2019 and no steps have been taken by the legal representatives of the petitioner to continue with this petition by way of filing an application for substitution. Learned counsel submits that, under these circumstances, the writ petition stands abated. 2. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed as abated. 3. However, the legal representatives of the petitioner would be at liberty to move application for revival of this writ petition, in case any cause of action/grievance still survives.
