Page No.# 1/2 GAHC010100002021 THE GAUHATI HIGH COURT (HIGH COURT OF ASSAM, NAGALAND, MIZORAM AND ARUNACHAL PRADESH) Case No. : Cont.Cas(C)/275/2021 BAHARUL ISLAM BARBHUIYA S/O LT. ABDUL AZIZ BARBHUIYA, R/O WATER WORKS ROAD SILCHAR 1, P.S. AND P.O.-SILCHAR, DIST- CACHAR, ASSAM VERSUS KEERTHI JALLI DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF CACHAR Advocate for the Petitioner : MR F Z MAZUMDER, Advocate for the Respondent : , BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MICHAEL ZOTHANKHUMA ORDER 16.06.2025 No one appears for the petitioner on call. None had appeared for the petitioner on the last two dates also. The Division Bench vide order dated 23.11.2020 passed in PIL 61/2020 had directed the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar to consider the petitioner’s Page No.# 2/2 representation dated 10.09.2020 and dispose of the same, within a period of 2 (two) months w.e.f. 23.11.2020. However, as the petitioner has not been appearing in this case for more than a year, the same could be due to the fact that the petitioner’s representation has been disposed of. Though there is nothing to prove as to whether the petitioner’s representation has been disposed of, this Court is of the view that absence of the petitioner implies that the representation of the petitioner has been disposed of. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
