This Court, vide order dated 29.04.2024, issued a card notice to the petitioner to engage another counsel due to the death of the earlier counsel, Shri Shafiq Mirza. The office report dated 10.07.2024 provides that the notices were sent through registered post but did not return. Hence, the service of the card notice upon the proposed petitioner Nos. 1/1 to 1/4 is sufficient. The case is an old one, pertaining to the year 1991. It seems that, by efflux of time, the proposed heirs of the petitioner have lost interest in pursuing the case any more. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed for want of prosecution.
