Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the petitioner has been promoted in his hierarchy of service and accordingly, his grievance in the matter stands redressed. Mr. Sarma, learned counsel, also submits that the petitioner, during the pendency of this writ petition, had retired from his service on attaining the age of superannuation. Accordingly, Mr. Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner, prays that the present writ petition be closed as having become infructuous. Prayer is accepted.
