Heard. The petitioner was part of a consortium headed by the opposite party no. 4 which entered into an agreement with the opposite party no. 1. The opposite party no. 4 went into liquidation. The Official Liquidator has written to the opposite party no. 1 not to release the Fixed Deposits and the Demand Drafts. The petitioner says that those Fixed Deposits and Demand Drafts have been provided by the petitioner and they should be released in its favour. This is not a matter to be adjudicated under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The petitioner, if he has locus standi and a cause, can approach the Official Liquidator or seek such other remedies, as may be permissible in law. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
