Sandhawalia, Chief Justice (Oral) The present Public Interest Litigation is filed praying for the relief for filling up of the vacant posts of the Teaching as well as Non-Teaching staff for smooth functioning of the Government Senior Secondary School, Baghaigarh, Tehsil Churah, District Chamba, H.P. 2. Vide order dated 26.09.2024, it was noticed that the contention was that out of 21 students enrolled, 8 students are 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? in Class XI and the remaining in Class XII and despite the sanctioned posts of Lecturers, there was vacancy of Teaching and Non-Teaching staff. Certain directions were also issued for deputing teachers, so that, extra classes could be held for students admitted to Class XI and XII. Status report was directed to be filed regarding the vacant position of teachers and ministerial staff in all the Schools of Himachal Pradesh. On account of the rationalisation process, proceedings were deferred and thereafter directions were issued on 07.04.2025 to ensure complete compliance of the order dated 27.11.2024. On 30.04.2025, it was brought to the notice of the State that transfer orders of employees had been issued, and the incumbents are in the process of joining. 3. Today, counsel for the State has placed on record the vacancy position as on 05.08.2025 of the said School which would go on to show that out of 18 sanctioned posts, both for the Teaching staff and Lab Attendants/Peons, 14 persons are in place and only 4 posts are vacant. 4. The vacancies mainly pertained to PGT IP, one post of TGT Medical and one post of Lecturer Political Science. 2 The TGT Non Medical, as such, is appointed by the School Management Committee and is only not in position. 5. Counsel for the State submits that necessary steps have been taken to fill up the vacant 4 posts also and he is hopeful that the needful will be done in the next two months. 6. Accordingly, we close the proceedings binding the State down to the statement to do the needful. 7. In view of the above, the petition stands disposed of.
