The S.D.M. himself is competent to do so as per law. Let the petitioner approach the S.D.M. concerned, who shall look into the matter, verify the fact and do the needful as per law. Such writ petitions should not be filed before this Court. If inspite of having approached, the S.D.M. is not doing the needful then a petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India can be filed in view of Writ-C No.10001 of 2024 (Vidya Vati vs. District Magistrate District Amethi and 19 others), wherein we have referred to a decision on the subject rendered by Hon'ble Supreme Court where the Revenue Court has been held to be amenable to the jurisdiction under Article 227 of the Constitution of India.
