Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents and perused the record. 2. This petition has been filed for the following relief: "a. a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the opposite party no. 2 to decide the application dated 12-10-2024 & 15/16-10.2024 as early as possible in the interest of justice." 3. Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the resignation by the petitioner has been accepted by the authorities on 14.02.2023 but the dues of the petitioner such as encashment of earned leave, etc. has not been paid. In this regard, the petitioner has also made a representation before respondent no. 5 which is pending consideration. 4. Learned Standing Counsel submitted that no useful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending and a direction be issued to respondent no. 5 to look into the matter and decide the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition stands disposed of finally with a direction to respondent No. 5 to consider and decide the aforementioned representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.
