This petition has been filed by the petitioner for the following relief:- "(a) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 15.07.2024 passed by the opposite party no.3, the true copy which is contained as Annexure-1 to the writ petition. (b) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to appoint the petitioner as Sub- Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation w.e.f. the date the other candidates were appointed as Sub-Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation with all consequential benefits including seniority." 3. A preliminary objection has been raised by the counsel appearing for the opposite parties no.2 and 3 that the matter is cognizable by the Central Administrative Tribunal as the petitioner is seeking appointment in the Central Bureau of Investigation which is covered under the Administrative Tribunal Act. 4. In view of availability of alternative remedy, I am not inclined to entertain the matter. The writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedy as available to him under law.
