Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.G.A. for State-respondents. 2. This petition has been filed with the following prayers :- "I. a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite party no.1 to 3 not to harass the petitioners on the behest of opposite party no.4, in the interest of justice. II. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding the opposite party no.1 to 3 to ensure protection of lives of the petitioner no.1 and the petitioner no.2." 3. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that both the petitioners are major and have married each other out of their own sweet will but the police is harassing the petitioner no.2. The petitioners prayed that benefit of judgment rendered by Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. and another, 2006 (5) SCC 475 be also extended to them. 4. Learned A.G.A. has produced before this Court instructions sent by one Ashutosh Dixit, Sub Inspector, P.S. Mohanlalganj, District Lucknow wherein it has been stated that father of the petitioner no.1 has lodged a missing persons report/N.C.R. on 29.01.2025, a copy of such N.C.R. has also been enclosed to the said instructions. 5. The instructions are kept on record. 6. The petitioners are directed to approach the Station House Officer, Police Station Mohanlalganj, District Lucknow on 07.02.2025 at 2 p.m. and get the statement of the petitioner no.1 recorded. 7.
