Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:6367-DB Court No. - 1 Case :- PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 88 of 2025 Petitioner :- Ram Milan Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Public Works Deptt. Lko. And 5 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Ashok Kumar Verma Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Nishant Shukla Hon'ble Attau Rahman Masoodi,J. Hon'ble Subhash Vidyarthi,J. 1. Heard Sri Ashok Kumar Verma, the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State, Sri Nishant Shukla, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of opposite parties no.3 and 4 and perused the records. 2. The present writ petition filed in public interest has raised a grievance as regards misappropriation of funds in the construction of a bridge. 3. On a pointed query made to the learned counsel for the petitioner as to what was the estimate for construction of the bridge in question, there is no averment clarifying the position in the writ petition and even the learned counsel for the petitioner has also been unable to state anything about the cost which was involved in construction of the bridge. 4. It is also not the case before us that the bridge has not been constructed. Half hearted allegations against the administrative authorities in the public interest litigations has become the order of day. We deprecate such a practice and dismiss the petition with a cost quantified at a sum of Rs.1100/- which shall be deposited by the petitioner in the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court within a period of two weeks from today.
