Upon coming of this instant contempt petition for consideration, learned counsel for the respondent/contemnor invited the attention of this Court to the compliance report filed in response to the contempt petition and would contend that the case of the petitioner for release of retrial benefits stands settled and Pension Payment Order (PPO) issued on 25.08.2025. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the issuance of the PPO order, but would submit that a casual approach had been adopted by the respondent/contemnor in settling the pension case of the petitioner without any lawful justification and although there seems to be substance in the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, yet in the interest of justice, this Court refrains from making either any observation against the respondent/contemnor or else proceedings ahead Sr. No. 132 2 with the contempt petition including Robkar and restricts the disposal of the instant contempt petition as well the Robkar with an observation that the respondent/contemnor shall remain careful in future in dealing with the settlement of the pension cases of the retired employees and shall not delay the same unnecessarily. 2.
