Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:6502 Court No. - 6 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 1333 of 2025 Petitioner :- Neelabh Krishna And Others Respondent :- Union Of India Thru. Secy. Ministry Of Finance, New Delhi And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Vinay Misra,Mukesh Dhar Dwivedi Counsel for Respondent :- A.S.G.I.,Dipak Seth Hon'ble Alok Mathur,J. 1. Heard Shri Vinay Mishra, learned counsel for petitioners, learned Standing Counsel for the State and perused the material available on record. 2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioners have challenged the seniority list of the cadre of Divisional Accountant in the office of Accountant General (AD). 3. It is an admitted case of the petitioners that the petitioners are Central Government employees and any dispute pertains to the seniority would be maintainable before the Central Administrative Tribunal and it has also been informed that on the previous occasion, the parties had approached before the Central Administrative Tribunal, which had decided the said case on 12.01.2022. 4. In light of the above, this Court does not see any reason as to why the petitioners should approach this Court assailing the seniority list. Considering the fact that the petitioners have efficacious remedy before the Central Administrative Tribunal and also considering the judgment of Supreme Court in the case of L. Chandra Kumar Vs. Union of India and others reported in 1997 (3) SCC 261, the petitioners are relegated to their remedy before the Central Administrative Tribunal. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed on the ground of availability of alternative remedy.. (Alok Mathur, J.)
