GP FOR ENERGY The Court made the following: :: ORDER :: The above writ petition is filed to declare the inaction of respondent No.3 in issuing a service connection to the petitioner’s house bearing D.No.4- 27-2 of Jayanthipeta, Chirala Municipality, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. Heard Sri E. Satheesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Priyanka, learned counsel representing Sri V.V. Satish, learned Standing Counsel, appeared for respondents 2 to 4. 3. At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the cause title, respondents 2 & 3 are shown as Southern Power Distribution SRS,J W.P.No.7773 of 2025 Company Limited, instead of Central Power Distribution Company Limited. Hence, the mistake is hereby rectified. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner further would submit that the petitioner made a representation dated 18.02.2025 (Ex.P1) to respondent No.3. Despite the representation, respondent No.3 has not released the electricity. Learned counsel would confine his arguments and urge the Court to direct the respondent No.3 to consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders. 5. Ms. Priyanka, learned counsel did not refute the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 6. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, without touching the merits of the matter, the Writ Petition is disposed of, at the stage of admission with the consent of both the learned counsel, directing the respondent No.3 to consider the representation made by the petitioner vide Ex.P1 and pass appropriate orders, strictly as per the General Terms and Conditions of Supply of the Distribution and Retail Supply Licensees, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight (08) weeks. No order as to costs.
