Mr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, learned counsel for the respondent-Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan. 4. According to petitioner, he is residing in 4th Floor of Chaudhary Bhawan at Haldwani, District Nainital, which was constructed by his father. He submits that there is a civil dispute pending between petitioner and his brother, regarding ownership over the house, due to which Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan is not providing water connection to him. 5. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief:- (i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 3 to provide domestic water connection to the petitioner at his premises at, forthwith, without insisting upon production of NOC from the owner. 6. Mr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, learned counsel appearing for the Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, on instructions, submits that petitioner had not applied in the 2025:UHC:8804 prescribed performa and he had also not submitted the requisite fee, therefore, application made by petitioner was not processed. He submits that if petitioner makes application in the prescribed form, and also deposits the requisite fee for obtaining water connection, then necessary action shall be taken on his application without insisting on NOC from house owner. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by taking the statement made by learned counsel for Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan on record and it is provided that in case, petitioner submits application with requisite fee within two weeks from today, then the necessary order shall be passed by the Competent Authority in Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, within two weeks thereafter.
