It further appears that victim has already been examined in this case and she has specifically stated that the petitioner alongwith other named accused persons have raped her. It was submitted that from the statements of mother of the victim and also the victim, recorded during trial, it transpires that the name of the petitioner was given at the instance of the police. Considering the fact that there is specific allegation against the petitioner of having gang raped the victim, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. Learned Trial Court shall take all possible steps to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
