The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for directing respondents No.1 to 3 for handing over the investigation arising out of FIR No.177, dated 21.10.2023 registered under Sections 363 & 366A IPC, at Police Station Bicchor District Nuh, to a senior ranked Police official. 2. On 09.02.2024, the following order was passed:- “Mr. Saleem Ahmed, Advocate puts in appearance on behalf of respondent No.6 and files Vakalatnama, which is taken on record. Learned State Counsel files status report by way of affidavit of Narender Bijarniya, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nuh dated 06.02.2024, which is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner candidly submits that she is not against the marriage of her daughter and Monika Verma 2025.05.13 09:22 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment chandigarh CRM-M-1857-2024(O&M) -2- respondent No.5 however, they are only concerned with the welfare of her daughter. Learned State Counsel refers to statement of daughter of the petitioner dated 20.01.2024 (Annexure R4), annexed with the aforesaid status report, wherein she has stated that “..I called Sohail and resid at there in a separate room. Perform this Court marriage. This marriage has performed at my own sweet will. There is no fault of Sohail in it. I want to reside with him”. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks some time to go through the aforesaid status report; and argue the matter as also to verify the aforesaid statement of daughter of the petitioner dated 20.01.2024 (Annexure R4). At request, adjourned to 28.02.2024.” 3. Learned State counsel, on instructions from Inspector Jagbir Singh, submits that cancellation report has been submitted before the trial Court on 11.05.2024. 4. No one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. 5. In view of the stand taken by learned State counsel, present petition is disposed of.
