Rendy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents appearing through video conferencing. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner prays for directing the respondents specially respondent No. 3, Director General of Police, Manipur, to dispose of the representation dated 21-04-2025 submitted by the petitioner to the (i) Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur, (ii) Principal Secretary/Commissioner/Secretary (Home), Government of Manipur, (iii) Director General of Police, Manipur, (iv) Superintendent of Police, Chandel and (v) Deputy Commissioner, Chandel. In the representation, the petitioner claims for compensation for illegally occupying his land by the Chandel police station. It is stated that the representation is still pending with the authority. [3] Mr. M. Rendy, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the writ petition may be disposed of at this stage by issuing an innocuous order WP(C) No. 400 of 2025 to the Director General of Police, Manipur for consideration of the representation submitted by the petitioner within a stipulated time. [4] Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents, submits that an innocuous order may be passed as prayed for by the learned counsel for the petitioner. [5] Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director General of Police, Manipur to consider and pass a speaking order to the representation dated 21-04-2025 submitted by the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [6] With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. [7] It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the case.
