Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:- a. “That the impugned rejection at Annexure P-6, whereby the candidature of the petitioner has been arbitrarily rejected stating “No vacancy OBC in H.P. State. Not eligible as General category (Overage)” may kindly be quashed and set aside. b. That the respondents may kindly be directed to conduct the medical examination of the petitioner and if found eligible and fit, he may kindly be given appointment against the post of CT/SK w.e.f. the due date i.e. the date when the recruitment process was initiated, in the interest of justice.” 2 2. The petitioner is seeking the quashing of the rejection of his candidature, which rejection dates back to 12.07.2016. This Court is of the considered view that in light of the fact that the candidature of the petitioner was rejected as far back as in the month of July, 2016, the cause and issue have become stale and petition is grossly hit by delay and laches and the same is accordingly dismissed.
