This petition has been filed with the following main prayers : "(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the opposite party nos.2 and 3 to ensure free, fair, proper, impartial and speedy investigation of FIR No.0185 of 2024, under Section 313, 323, 354, 498-a, 506 IPC and Sections 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Vikas Nagar, District Lucknow. (ii) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the opposite party nos.2 and 3 to conclude the investigation of FIR No.0185 of 2024, under Sections 313, 323, 354, 498-A, 506 I.P.C. and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Vikas Nagar, District Lucknow within stipulated period preferably within one month." Learned counsel for the petitioner says that the F.I.R. was lodged in October, 2024, but till date no investigation has been carried out by the Investigating OfÏcer. Hence, the writ petition has been filed. Learned A.G.A. has produced before this Court the instructions dated 27.01.2025 sent by Praveen Kumar Singh, Sub Inspector, Police Station Vikas Nagar, District Lucknow, wherein it has been stated that the police had sent the parties for mediation to the Mediation Centre (Pariwar Pramarsh Kendra) and the report is awaited. The copy of such instructions is kept on record. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Investigating OfÏcer to complete the investigation taking into account the mediation centre report.
