JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 22.07.2025 Heard Mr. Ch. Ngongo, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. S. Gangarani, learned counsel, appearing for the petitioner; and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents. The present writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a direction to the respondents to allow the petitioner to join his duty pursuant to his reinstatement w.e.f. 05.03.2025 vide order dated 01.03.2025 issued by the Commandant, 5th Bn. Manipur Rifles, Khongjaron. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the authorities have allowed the petitioner to join service and the petitioner has been discharging his normal duty. However, the authorities have not released the monthly pay and allowances of the petitioner for a period from 01.03.2025 till today. The learned senior counsel, accordingly, prays for closing this writ petition by issuing a simple direction to the respondents to release the monthly pay and allowances of the petitioner as the petitioner has been reinstated w.e.f. 01.03.2025 and as the petitioner has already joined his service and discharging his duties. Since the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the authorities have allowed the petitioner to join his service and to resume his normal duties, this Court is of the considered view that no cause survives for adjudication in this writ petition. It is, however, made clear that the respondents, more particularly respondent No. 4, i.e., Commandant, 5th Bn. Manipur Rifles, Khongjaron, Tamenglong, shall consider the claim of the petitioner for payment of his monthly pay & allowances w.e.f. 01.03.2025 and take up appropriate action in terms of the applicable rules. Such consideration should be made within a period of 1(one) month from today. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of. JUDGE Indrajeet
