By the present writ petition, the petitioner, who was working on the post of Head Constable, is seeking a limited direction towards the respondent No.2/ Director General of Police, PHQ, District Raipur, C.G. to decide the second appeal (Annexure P/4) filed by the petitioner against the order of his termination under the Police Regulation 262, pending before him. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has preferred the second appeal dated 24/09/2024 against the termination order dated 09/07/2024 (Annexure P/2) and the appellate order dated 04/09/2024 (Annexure P/3) passed by respondent No.3, before the respondent No.2/ DGP, which is still pending and the same has not been decided till date. He is further seeking that the petition may be disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the pending appeal within the stipulated period. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State, on instruction, would submit that if the appeal dated 24/09/2024 filed by the petitioner is still pending before respondent No.2, the same shall be decided in accordance with law, within the stipulated period. 3 / 3 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents as well as the second appeal (Annexure P/4) and the appellate order passed by the I.G., Raipur Range. 5. In view of the above submission made by learned counsel for the State, the respondent authorities/ DGP is directed to consider and decide the second appeal dated 24/09/2024 (Annexure P/4) filed by the petitioner within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The petitioner is at liberty to apprise the respondent authorities/ DGP with regard to the order passed by this Court. 7. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
