The grievance of the is that the respondent No. 3- Tehsildar, Atholi (Paddar), is not taking a decision on the issue with regard to grant of Schedule Tribe certificate in favour of the petitioner after the matter was remanded to him by respondent No. 2-Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar. 02. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the statutory period for deciding such matters is 15 days but despite the lapse of said period, respondent Serial No. 208 2 WP(C) No. 2781/2025 No. 3- Tehsildar, Atholi (Paddar), is not taking a decision in the matter. 03. Having regard to the nature of the grievance that has been projected by the petitioner in this case, the present petition is disposed of, at this stage by issuing appropriate direction to respondent No. 3-Tehsildar, Atholi (Paddar), to decide the case with regard to the grant of Schedule Tribe certificate in favour of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within a period of 15 days from the date a certified copy of this order is made available to respondent No. 3 i.e. Tehsildar, Atholi (Paddar). 04.
