PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: ORDER:- The Criminal Petition, u/Sec.482 of B.N.S.S is filed on behalf of the petitioner herein/ accused to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.343/2024 of Kanchikacherla Police Station, NTR District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable u/Sections 108 r/w 3(5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘B.N.S’). 2 3. The case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 18.11.2024 at 10.30 a.m., by the informant, Karampudi Radhakrishna, S/o. Venkateswara Rao, alleges that his brother, the deceased Karampudi Ravindra, aged about 45 years, engaged in the construction business, consumed pesticide poison on 17.11.2024 near MIC College, Kanchikacherla. He was admitted in Help Hospital, Vijayawada, where he died on the same day at about 8.00 p.m. while undergoing treatment. All the accused used political influence to register the properties of the deceased in their names and politically harassed him and his family. The harassment intensified over the past four months, driving the deceased to commit suicide. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case of the present petitioner is on the same footing as that of A2, A4, and A5 to A16, who were released on anticipatory bail by virtue of a common order passed by this Court in Crl.P.Nos.9030, 9340, 9384, 9534, 9535, and 9536 of 2024, dated 09.01.2025. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor has not disputed the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that at the time of filing the bail application, the petitioner was not arrayed 3 as an accused. Upon inquiry, the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor confirms that during the course of investigation, the petitioner was named as A17. Upon reviewing the common order passed in Crl.P.Nos.9030, 9340, 9384, 9534, 9535, and 9536 of 2024, this Court also agrees that the case of the present petitioner stands on the same footing as that of A2, A4, and A5 to A16, who have already been granted bail. As such, this Court is of the view that the same benefit can be extended to the petitioner under the same conditions. 6. In view of the said reasons, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner herein. 7. Accordingly, the petitioner herein is directed to surrender before the Station House Officer concerned within two (2) weeks from today and on such surrender, the petitioner shall be released on bail on his executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the arresting police officials and also on condition that the petitioner shall make himself available for investigation as and when required and that he shall not cause any threat, inducement or promise to the prosecution witnesses. The petitioner shall appear before the concerning Station House Officer, once in a week i.e. on 4 every Sunday between 10.00 a.m., and 5.00 p.m., till filing of the charge sheet. 8.
