By the present writ petition filed by the petitioner, who was contestant to the post of member of Zila Panchayat area no. 10 village Lauda seeking a direction towards the respondent to decide the application for recounting filed by the petitioner on 24.02.2025. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the counting of the election was completed in the late night of 23.02.2025 and certificate was issued on 25.02.2025. The petitioner submitted the application for recounting on 24.02.2025 which has been 3 acknowledged by the District Election OfÏcer, however the said application has not been decided by the respondent authority till date. 3. Learned counsel for the Election Commission/respondent no. 7 on instruction would submit that if the application is still pending before the Collector cum District Election OfÏcer, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law within a period of 3 days. 4. I have heard learned counsels for both the parties. 5. In view of the submission made by the respondent counsel, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent/Collector cum District Election OfÏcer for decision of the application (Annexure P/1) dated 24.02.2025, within a period of 3 days in accordance with law. 6.
