The instant writ petition has been filed for release of pending bills of the deceased husband of the writ petitioner who was a Contractor with the Public Health Engineering at Tura. The amount in question as per the writ petition is Rs.5,40,565/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Forty Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty-Five) only. 2. Mr. P.T. Sangma, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on having obtained a Succession Certificate in favour of the writ petitioner, the same was presented before the respondents on September 2024, but however, till date the amount is yet to be released. 3. An affidavit on behalf of the State respondents has been filed, wherein at Para – 8 and 9 thereof, the amount due to the writ petitioner late husband is not disputed. It is also averred therein that as representation were 2025:MLHC:55 3 received only on 12th September, 2024, the release is under process, as presently there is shortage of funds. 4. In this view of the matter, on considering the fact that the amount due is undisputed, it is directed that the State respondents arrange necessary funds within a period of 6(six) months from the date of this order and the same be released to the writ petitioner. 5.
