Of Revenue Lko And Ors. Counsel for Petitioner :- Sajjad Husain,Sanjay Shukla Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Alok Mathur,J. 1. Heard Sri Sajjad Husain, learned counsel for the petitioner and the Standing counsel for the respondents. 2. The grievance raised by the petitioner is with regard to order dated 29.2.2024 passed by District Magistrate / Collector, Barabanki thereby placing the petitioner under suspension in contemplation of disciplinary proceedings. 3. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that at the relevant point of time the petitioner was working on the post of Revenue Inspector and the charge sheet was submitted to the petitioner on 27.6.2024 to which he has replied on 25.7.2024. It is submitted that despite submission of his reply in July, 2024 the respondents have not concluded the inquiry till date nor any date, time or place has been fixed for the said inquiry. 4. After arguing the matter at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner shall stand substantially redressed in case the respondents are directed to conclude the inquiry with expedition. 5. Considering the fact that the inquiry was initiated nearly a year back and despite the reply having been submitted more than six months ago the inquiry has not been concluded and accordingly a case for interference under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is made out. 6. Learned Standing counsel also does not oppose the prayer of the petitioner for expeditious disposal of the disciplinary proceedings. 7. In light of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to conclude the inquiry with expedition, say within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of this order is placed before him. 8. The petitioner undertakes to cooperate in the said inquiry. 9. It is further provided that in case the inquiry is not concluded within the time prescribed by this Court, liberty is given to the petitioner to move application under Rule 4 sub clause 8 of U.P.
