The Writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to remove the encroachments made by the respondents 6 to 9 on Government poramboke land bearing Survey No.40/1, measuring 0.24.5 ares, situated at Sathiyamangalam Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District as it is classified as “Police Station-Well” in the revenue records and consequently establish there a new police station or an out post police station by considering the petitioner's representations dated 16.12.2024 and 30.12.2024. 2.With reference to the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition, the Tahsildar, Kuzhithalai, has addressed a letter to the Registrar, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court dated 28.04.2025 stating that encroachments have been identified in the subject land. The survey numbers and details of the encroachments are set out in the said letter. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.2927 of 2025 3.In view of the report submitted by the Tahsildar, Kuzhithalai, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to issue notices to the encroachers under the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 and evict the encroachers by following the procedures as contemplated under the Act. The fifth respondent/the Inspector of Police, Kulithalai Police Station is directed to provide necessary protection to the Revenue Officials for the purpose of removal of encroachments. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
