Mani, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. Chingkhei, learned counsel and Mr. Vijay Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr. M. Devananda, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms. N. Jyotsana, learned counsel for the respondent in Cont.Cas(C) No. 66 of 2025 and Mr. P. Tomcha and Mr. L. Johny appearing in person. [2] During the course of hearing, it is submitted that the Assistant Registrar of Societies, Manipur vide letter dated 09.05.2025 informed the President/Secretary, All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA), Imphal about the compliance of the order dated 13.03.2025 passed by this Court in MC(WP(C) No. 166 of 2025 [Ref: WP(C) No. 859 of 2025]. [3] It is stated that there will be no impediment for holding the ensuing election of All Manipur Bar Association for the term commencing from the year 2025. [4] Mr. P. Tomcha, incumbent President of AMBA, submits before this Court that the executive committee meeting is scheduled for tomorrow i.e. 20.05.2025 to fix the date adjourned general body meeting for fixing the date of election, appointment of returning officer and approval of the pending accounts matter etc. and submits that the election will be completed on 20.06.2025. [5] In the circumstances, this Court directs that after conducting election for AMBA, handing of charge to the newly appointed executive committee be completed on or before 20.06.2025.
