Respondent/s BEFORE HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 12.05.2025 [1] Heard Mr. E. Dayali, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner is praying for disposal of the representations dated 28.03.2025, 14.04.2025 & 21.04.2025 submitted by the petitioner to the State Authority, especially to the Superintendent of Police, Thoubal Police Station and to the Officer-in-Charge, Lilong Police Station for taking necessary action against some persons who have allegedly trespassed upon the land and cut off some trees without the approval. [3] Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A., submits that in pursuance of the representations submitted by the petitioner to the authorities, an enquiry has been initiated by O.C., Lilong PS and it is stated that it is a prima facie case of civil dispute and as per the finding of the enquiry report, there are no sufficient grounds to believe that the two persons, i.e. Hafiz Abdul Mateen and Alhas Abdul Qudus named in the complaint, had committed offence under Section 303/61/329 of BNS. [4] Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A., submits that since the representations have been acted upon the Police Authority, no cause survives in the writ petition. [5] Mr. E. Dayali, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that this Court may pass appropriate order in this case in terms of the enquiry initiated by the O.C., Lilong PS. However, liberty may be granted to the petitioner to pursue their case as per law. [6] The report dated 11.05.2025 submitted by the O.C., Lilong PS to the office of the Deputy G.A. is taken on record. [7] Recording the submissions made at the bar and in view of the enquiry initiated by the Police Authority, the cause of the writ petition has become infructuous and is closed.
