For Petitioner(s): Mr. C.Tickeamber For Respondent(s): Mr.K.Suresh Government Advocate ORDER This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings of the 1 st respondent dated 08.10.2021 and for a consequential direction to the 1 st respondent to issue a legal heirship certificate on the demise of the petitioner's father, namely Rajan. 2. Heard Mr. C.Tickeamber, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Suresh, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 3. Sufficient documents have been placed before this Court to show that the petitioners are the children of Rajan. The death certificate of Rajan and also the death certificate of the petitioner's mother are also available in the typed set of papers. Therefore, it is always left open to the 1 st respondent to conduct an enquiry and issue a legal heirship certificate based on the persons identified as the legal heirs of late Rajan. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 1857 of 2024 4. In the result, the writ petition is allowed. There shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent to conduct an enquiry and issue the legal heirship certificate within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
