Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel and Sri Rinku Verma, learned Counsel for the respondent no.1. 2. The present petition has been filed challenging an order dated 26.12.2020 whereby, amounts have been awarded by the Permanent Lok Adalat along with penalty and interest. 3. The contention of the Counsel for the petitioner is that the daughter of the claimant had died and she was one of the 4-5 daughters of the claimant and thus the mother was not entitled for any compensation. 4. As the mother is the head of the family and there is not denial of the fact that the name of the deceased also appeared in co- tenure holder, this aspect was adequately considered by this Court in Writ-C No.7308 of 2024:decided on 02.09.2024. 5. Following and adopting the said judgment, no interference is called for. However, the amount damages of Rs.1000/- per week is set aside. The other part of the award shall remain as it is and the same shall be deposited by the petitioner before the Permanent Lok Adalat within a period of three months from today, if already not deposited. The amount shall be paid by the Permanent Lok Adalat to the claimants on moving appropriate application forthwith. 6. The writ petition is disposed off in the above terms.
