Heard Shri B. Kaushik, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Shri G. Bokolial, learned State Counsel. Considering the subject matter of the writ petition and the developments which have taken place in the meantime, the same is taken up for disposal at the motion stage itself. The grievance of the petitioner is with regard to his application and onward action taken for issue of transfer of Arms License. It is the case of the petitioner that he had applied for such transfer in which no consequential orders were passed by the concerned District Commissioner, Golaghat. It is the case of the petitioner that he fulfils the condition for such transfer. When this matter had come up for consideration on 14.05.2025, the learned State Counsel appearing on that date was directed to obtain instructions on the fate of the application. Shri Bokolial, the learned State Counsel has informed this Court that the application has been rejected on 20.05.2025, a copy of which has also been placed before this Court. On perusal of the same and on being apprised that there is a provision for preferring an appeal, this Court is of the opinion that the petition be closed by granting an opportunity to the petitioner to avail the remedy by filing an appeal.
Page No.# 3/3 To facilitate the same, let a copy of the said order be furnished to Shri B. Kaushik, the learned counsel which has been done today in the Court itself.
