Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:7071-DB Court No. - 2 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 832 of 2025 Petitioner :- Surendra Kumar Shukla Respondent :- Union Of India Thru. Its Secy. Deptt. Of Post Offices,New Delhi And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Salik Ram Tiwari,Arti Yadav,Sanjeev Kumar Dwivedi Counsel for Respondent :- A.S.G.I. Hon'ble Rajan Roy,J. Hon'ble Om Prakash Shukla,J. Heard Sri Salik Ram Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri S.B. Pandey, learned Senior Advocate/Deputy Solicitor General of India assisted by Sri Varun Pandey, learned counsel for the opposite parties. The agency of the petitioner granted by the opposite party No.5, Assistant Director (Saving), Pratapgarh was initially put in abeyance vide order dated 05.11.2019 on account of misappropriation of fund and subsequently the same was cancelled on 16.10.2021. We are now in 2025. We see no reason to interfere in the matter at this stage especially as on being asked the counsel for the petitioner admitted to several criminal proceedings initiated against him, although he claims stay orders in his favour. We do not find any reason to interfere in the matter without prejudice to rights of the petitioner to avail other remedy. As regards relief No.2, on being asked about such order freezing the account, nothing could be placed before us. In any case this could have been done by the bank concerned. Even otherwise if it is not in context of any criminal case, the petitioner may approach the concerned bank if there is a cause. We cannot issue any direction at this stage. Writ petition is accordingly dismissed with liberty aforesaid. (Om Prakash Shukla,J.) (Rajan Roy,J.)
