The petitioners seek payment in respect of certain financial claim which arose in the year 2014. 2. Learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the respondent authority acknowledged their claim in the year 2020 and sought for a report from the Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department. The report was never forwarded. 3. The petitioners made repeated representations before the authority for disbursement of the balance due, but the same has not been disbursed for the reasons best known to the authority. 2 4. On a perusal of the documents placed before this Court it appears that the claim of the petitioners relates to the year 2013-14. It is too late in the year 2025 to allow the prayer of the petitioners to either direct the authority to make payment or to consider their claim for making payment. Allowing the prayer of the petitioners will amount to revival of a claim which stood extinguished due to efflux of time. 5. The claim of the petitioners appears to be hopelessly time barred. No relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant case. 6. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. 7. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties or their advocates on record expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
