The Court made the following order:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief/s:-
“…to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents more particularly the 3rd and 4th respondents in not considering the candidature of the petitioner in issuing compassionate appointment in a suitable post is illegal, arbitrary, unjust, contrary to Art.14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents more particularly 3rd and 4th respondents to appoint the petitioner in any suitable post on compassionate grounds/scheme and to pass such other order or orders.…”
2. Heard Ms.B.Preethi Meghana, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-I for respondents.
3. The petitioner’s father, while working as Constable at 1115 Battalion, Bhakrapet, YSR Kadapa District, died in harness on
21.08.2024. The petitioner and her sister were born out of wedlock between the deceased-father and 1st wife. As the petitioner’s mother expired on 30.03.2006, her father remarried again on 22.02.2007. However, the marriage could not last for long, as her step mother filed O.P.No.66 of 2009 on the file of learned Senior Civil Judge, Gooty, Ananthapuram District, and the marriage came to be dissolved by decree dated 18.04.2011. However, even before said divorce came to be granted, her father married third woman, which is

void marriage and there is also a minor child, born out of said wedlock.
4. The petitioner made an application dated 29.01.2025 to respondent Nos.3 and 4 for compassionate appointment, as she completed her B.Sc. computers course. Since the same is not being considered in terms of Circular Memo No.60681/Service. A/2003-1 dated 12.08.2003 and G.O.Ms.No.687, General Administration (Services-A) Department, dated 03.10.1977, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner’s representation seeking for compassionate appointment is pending and no orders are passed so far, it would suffice to direct respondent Nos.3 and 4 to consider the same and pass appropriate orders in terms of aforesaid Circular Memo dated 12.08.2003 and G.O.Ms.No.687 dated 03.10.1977.
6. Learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondents submits that the representation made by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
7. In view of the said submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the present Writ Petition is
disposed of, directing respondent Nos.3 and 4 to consider representation dated 29.01.2025, submitted by the petitioner

seeking compassionate appointment in terms of her eligibility with reference to Circular Memo No.60681/Service A/2003-1 dated 12.08.2003 and G.O.Ms.No.687, General Administration (Services- A) Department, dated 03.10.1977 or any other applicable proceedings, and pass speaking orders in accordance with law.
8. Accordingly, the present Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
