Maurya, learned Standing Counsel for the State- respondents, is present. 4. This Court vide order dated 6.7.2024 issued card notice to the petitioner to engage another counsel due to the death of earlier counsel Shri A.R. Khan. 5. The office report dated 11.8.2023 provides that the notice sent to the petitioners no. 1, 3 and 6 has returned back with the remark that 'recipients are dead'. Further notice sent to the petitioners no.2 and 5 has returned back with the remark that the 'recipient does not live at the written address' and the card notice sent to the petitioner no.4 did not return back, hence the service of card notice upon the petitioner no.4 is sufficient. 6. Perusal of the order sheet reflects that since the year 1987 when the notices were issued by this Court to the opposite parties the case was got adjourned on one ground or the other, that goes to show the disinterest of the petitioners in the disposal of the writ petition. 7. The matter is an old one pertaining to the year 1987. 8. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed for non prosecution.
