This bail application was filed on 10.05.2024 by one Numan Uddin, son of late Rafikur Rahman, resident to Daskhinkul, Police Station-Badarpur, District- Karimganj, praying for his bail in NDPS Case No. 234/2022, arising out of Basistha Police Station Case No. 505/2022, registered under Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985 read with Section 489 of the IPC read with Section 4 of the Assam Ganja and Bhang Prohibition Act, in which, the petitioner was arrested on 08.05.2022 and is in custody since then. The case is presently pending before the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge No. 2, Kamrup (Metro), Guwahati. 4. The Court, by order dated 12.06.2024 called for the relevant records of the case. On 19.07.2024, 14.08.2024, 10.09.2024, 26.09.2024 and 12.12.2024, when the matter was listed and taken up for consideration, the petitioner remained un- represented, though names of 2 (two) counsels were reflected in the cause list against the petitioner. 5. Even today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the petitioner remained un-represented, though names of two counsels for him has been reflected in the cause list. 6.
