Sheikh, learned counsel for the petitioner, who submits that the petitioner having been appointed as music teacher on 23.11.1993 at Vivekananda Vidyapith Higher Secondary School and due to retire on Page No.# 2/2 30.06.2026, prays for counting of the length of his service from 30.03.1996 for the purpose of his pension and other service benefits. 2. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner had submitted his representation before the Director of Secondary Education on 01.10.2024 but since the same has not been considered and disposed of, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the limited prayer of the petitioner at this stage is for a direction to the respondent authority concern to consider and dispose of his representation. 4. Ms. N. M. Sarma, learned standing counsel Secondary Education Department submits that according to the instructions she has received the petitioner cannot claim counting of his service from 30.03.1996 since he has been paid regular salary only from 21.10.2003. 5. Be that as it may, since the representation of the petitioner appears to be pending as on today, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director of Secondary Education (respondent No.2) to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner filed on 01.10.2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by passing a reasoned and speaking order. 6. A copy of the order to be passed shall be furnished to the petitioner. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
