By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for following relief as substantial relief: "i) Issue a writ of Mandamus commanding and directing the respondents, particularly Respondent No.2 to grant promotion, in the DPC which was held in the year 2023, to the petitioner in light of the corrected entries dated 24.09.2024 with all consequential benefits and also in light of the fact that similarly situated persons who are facing the same inquiry have been promoted by the department. ii) Issue a writ of Mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to decide the representation filed by the petitioner on 18.03.2024." It appears from the records that the petitioner has already represented the matter to the respondent no. 2. Learned Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection in the event this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2 to look into and consider the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate order strictly in accordance with law. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction that respondent no.2 shall consider the grievance of the petitioner raised in his representation and decide the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order considering the fact that adverse entry earlier awarded on 24.09.2023 by the competent authority to the petitioner has stand scored off.
