GP FOR LAND ACQUISITION (AP) The Court made the following order: Challenging the notification issued by the respondent No.2 vide Ref.G4/497/2019, dated 05.03.2020 under Section 11(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, whereby proposed to acquire the petitioner’s agricultural lands an extent of Ac.1.06 cents covered by Sy.No.202-2 situated at Kulla village, K.Gangavaram Mandal, East Godavari District in order to issue house site pattas to the beneficiaries, the instant writ petition is filed. 2. Heard Sri Bolla Venkata Rama Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 5. 3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue has placed on record a copy of the written instructions received from the 4th respondent-Tahsildar. A perusal of the same would reflect that there is no need of acquiring the subject land and now the subject land is in the possession of petitioner. It is further stated that the respondents have acquired another alternative land and house site pattas were also distributed to the beneficiaries. 4. In view of the foregoing, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, liberty is granted to the respondents to proceed in accordance with law, if the subject land is required for any other public purposes. There shall be no order as to costs.
