JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 14.06.2025 This is an appeal filed by the appellant-claimant against the judgment and Page No.# 2/2 award dated 03.12.2022 passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No. 3, Kamrup (M), Guwahati (for short MACT, Kamrup) in MAC Case No. 2277/2018 praying for enhancement of the awarded amount of Rs. 34,347/- along with 7.5% interest which was directed to be paid by the New India Assurance Company Ltd. (for short Insurance Company). Shri Biswanath Boro, Regional Manager and Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Assistant Manager of the Insurance Company and the claimant-Shri Ranjit Das along with his learned counsel, Ms. K Patgiri are present today i.e., 14.06.2025 in the National Lok Adalat. It is submitted that the aforementioned awarded amount has not been deposited by the Insurance Company. The parties present jointly submit that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and an additional amount Rs.1,50,000/- over and above the awarded amount as full and final settlement has been agreed upon. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the total amount being the full and final settlement before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 days from today. The claimant would be at liberty to withdraw the entire amount on being properly identified by his learned counsel. Send back the LCRs, if any. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
