Learned counsel appearing for respondents No.2 and 3 has handed over a copy of instructions, which are taken on record. On the strength of these instructions, he apprises the Court that respondents No.2 and 3 have admitted the mistake in the question paper as pointed out by the petitioner. In fact, a perusal of the instructions demonstrates that Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Board of School Examination, Dharamshala, H.P., has not only accepted the mistake, but has also taken the responsibility for the same and it further stands mentioned in the instructions that an Expert Committee was constituted to examine the matter and the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2 2025:HHC:10417 Committee has submitted its report and has proposed to grant 35 grace marks to the affected students.
2. The Court appreciates the candidness on the part of the said respondent in admitting the mistake and taking immediate steps to rectify the same including the constitution of the Expert Committee and decision thereof to grant 35 grace marks to the affected students.
3. The petition is accordingly disposed of by taking the instructions on record and by further observing that needful to provide succor to the affected students be done immediately and expeditiously.
4. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any also stand
disposed of accordingly.
