By this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following main reliefs :- "(I). issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to pay the gratuity of the grand father of the petitioner as admissible to him for the post of Purchase Officer, U.P. Government Central Dairy Farm, aligarh as he has completed about 32 years and 2 months in continous service of the State Government from November, 1935 till the date of his retirement on 15.01.1968 and pay his pension as admissible to him with effect from 15.1.1968 till the date of his death on 25.08.1992 along with his salary due with effect from 26.08.1966 till 15.1.1968 as per judgment dated 27.02.1980 passed by U.P. Public Services Tribunal No.III, Lucknow in Claim Petition No.21(T)/III/1978 Brij Bihari Srivastava vs. State of U.P. and others with 12 percent interest per annum accrued thereon." It appears that by efflux of time, the petitioner has lost interest in the matter to pursue the case as such this petition has rendered infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition being infructuous is consigned to record. Interim order, if any, stands discharged.
