Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that after the death of his father, the petitioner has submitted an application dated 29/12/2023 seeking employment on compassionate grounds under the relevant policy of the Life Insurance Corporation of India, which is still pending and has not been decided till date. By referring the receiving slip (Annexure P/2), he submits that the application of the petitioner has been received by the respondent Department on 29/12/2023, however, the same has not been decided and no communication has been received by the petitioner with regard to his application. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State would submit that if the application for compassionate appointment submitted by the petitioner is still pending before the respondent Department, the same shall be decided in accordance with the relevant policy of the Corporation, within the stipulated period. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents as well as the pleadings made by the petitioner and the acknowledgment dated 29/12/2023. 5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the competent authority within a period of 15 days. In the event of filing of such representation, the competent authority is directed to consider and decide the 3 / 3 application to be submitted by the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with the relevant policy of the Corporation, within a period of 50 days from the date of submission of the representation. 6.
