Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned AGA for the State. A supplementary affidavit filed by learned counsel for the petitioner is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is unable to deposit the exorbitant amount of 50% of the total amount of fine as directed vide order dated 16.12.2024 and hence, prays that the condition to deposit 50% of the amount may be reduced to 20% in the interest of justice. On due consideration to the submissions advanced, so also the pleading made in the supplementary affidavit, in the interest of justice, the impugned order dated 16.12.2024 is modified to the extent that 80% of the amount of fine is stayed.
